Biggin 400 2027 PBP qualifier 15/05/27

400km PBP qualifier based on the 2016 national 400 run by John Perrin. Village hall start with the usual breakfast provisions, food also provided at Tatenhill (145km) and Upton Magna Village hall at 230km and 350km, also provision here for a sleep if needed. 24hr food available at 275km(24hr garage), 300km(24hr garage), or 311km(24hr Mcdonalds).

 

Car park at Fulford will fit about 40 cars, so first come first served, although Id prefer it if you didnt drive at all, you could take the train, ECE or get a lift etc, as driving after a 400km ride is not advisable. Nearest train stations are Blythe Bridge(3 miles), Stone (4 miles) or Stoke Station (8 miles), nearest Travelodge is Trentham 6 miles from the village hall.

Most of the climbing is in the first 100km, but a lot is avoided by using the Tissington and Monsal trails. The route has some lovely daytime scenic sections, with the night route using some A roads which maybe busy during the day. Plenty of TLC provided at Upton Magna and Tattenhill, with a variety of food provided to satisfy most tastes, vegan etc.
